A new red dye with characteristics similar to but with some advantages over PerCP is being tested. The dye is excitable at 488nm with a maximum emission near 700nm. It is approximately 5 times brighter than the same mAb labeled with PerCP (measured with a FACSCaliber), does not bleach at high laser power (488nm and 200mW) and can be used in conjunction with APC with virtually no compensation. Data illustrating the use of the new red dye in multi-color immunofluorescence analysis will be presented.
