About the Editor
DR. EDITH MATHIOWITZ is an Associate Professor of Medical Science and Engineering, Department of Molecular Pharmacology & Biotechnology at Brown University. Dr. Mathiowitz is also the DIrector of Graduate Program, Artificial Organs, Biomaterials and Cellular Technology. Among her honors, Dr. Mathiowitz is the recipient of the Whitaker Foundation Award as well as a Recognition Award for Excellence in Guiding Graduate Student Research (Controlled Release Society/Procter & Gamble).
Currently, Dr. Mathiowitz serves on the Board of Governors of the Controlled Release Society. She is also an editorial board member of the Journal of Biomaterials, Journal of Controlled Release and Microencapsulation.
