About the Website
The documents available on this website have been provided to support, supplement and expand upon the information published in The Colour, Light and Contrast Manual: Designing and managing inclusive built environments, written by Keith Bright and Geoff Cook and published by Wiley-Blackwell.
References identified with the symbol ‡ in the References section of the book are included on this website to aid those who wish to be better informed about the research which underpins the guidance.
Each pdf is an exact copy of the research report, conference paper or publication prepared at the time and contains some terminology that may now be seen as inappropriate. That is the problem of time and, to some extent, fashion, but the authors made a conscious decision not to alter the text from its original format.
Each pdf is identified by its reference in the book, for example ‘Cook, G.K. (2004)’. One pdf, ‘Bright, K.T. and Cook, G.K. (1999)’ is a large document (approximately 8 MB) which some people may experience difficulty in downloading. The other pdfs are about 2 MB or less.
