Unix tutorial material
The 'unix' folder is primarily for those using a Linux-based machine. However the contents are also relevant to those using other systems with X11 such as MacOS X.
The latter will probably need to collect system-specific versions of some of the software from the Internet.

Extracts from 'You Can Do It!'
The 'ycdi_extracts' folder contains substantial extracts from the book 'You Can Do It!' that supplement the text of 'You Can Program in C++'. These extracts are
particularly useful to those who wish to experiment with using the small GUI support library as it provides much more detail and many more examples of its use
than you will find in the current book. These extracts are provided in both Rich Text Format (RTF) and Portable Document Format (PDF, as used by Adobe Acrobat).
