Wiley Launches Chinese Language Website
John Wiley & Sons has announced the launch of its Chinese language website, which goes live today at http://www.wileychina.com. Wileychina.com will raise the publisher’s profile in China through greater and more meaningful engagement with the community there.
Designed to enhance Wiley’s China-based customers’ experience with tailored sections for librarians, authors, societies and industry partners, wileychina.com will feature general information about Wiley’s presence in China as well as specific details about core content of particular interest to the Chinese community. In addition, this site will also include hyper-links and cross references to wiley.com, Wiley InterScience and the Press Room where all local news and events will be highlighted.
Wiley recognizes the importance of providing its Chinese community with information of special relevance to China. Wileychina.com will direct Chinese users to specific content relevant to them – including Wiley’s other Chinese-language website, Materialsviewschina.com, as well as tutorials and user guides, product presentations and catalogues and contact details for company representatives – all available in Chinese local language.
“Wiley collaborates very closely with the Chinese academic and research communities,” said Steven Miron, Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for Wiley-Blackwell. “The timely launch of wileychina.com further demonstrates our commitment to bringing the world’s best scientific and scholarly content to China and the best of Chinese research to a global audience. We encourage all of our partners and friends - authors, researchers, academics, librarians, scholarly society members and other readers – to bookmark the page and check it frequently for updated information.”
