Slide 22: A vertical view of the southwestern slopes of Mt. Karisimbi from Mudende Commune. It shows the agricultural lands in the lower Afro-Montane and Bamboo Belt. Within the park one can see distinctly the natural vegetation belts that remain: bamboo, Hagenia Woodland, Lower Afro-Alpine (Ericaceous Belt), Upper Afro-Alpine, and the Nival Zone.
