WileyPLUS with ORION helps you identify your students’ proficiency early in the semester.

  • The Metacognitive Report compares student proficiency in ORION to their level of confidence.

  • Upper Left Quadrant: Students have higher levels of proficiency in ORION but lower confidence. These students can benefit from more practice in ORION to maintain their proficiency while increasing their confidence.

Lower Left Quadrant: Students who have low proficiency in ORION and low confidence. These students may be under-prepared and need to spend more time working with the resources in WileyPLUS. This should boost both confidence and proficiency in ORION.

Upper Right Quadrant: Students who have higher levels of proficiency and high confidence. These students are doing well in ORION and may be ready for some special projects or to move more quickly.

Lower Right Quadrant: Students have lower levels of proficiency in ORION but indicate higher confidence. This group of students may need to spend more time working with the resources in WileyPLUS to help clarify some misunderstandings.

    • Get a window into each student’s level of proficiency and confidence.
    • Identify and tailor learning for individual students in large classes via adaptive practice.
    • Work one-on-one with individual students during office hours to focus on areas of improvement.

I like how it clearly identifies what material I’m struggling with and how it helps me to better understand it.
